Mr. Michael Zulkowski serves as the Assistant Principal at Caesar Rodney High School, where he oversees students in Cohort I–M (grades 9–12), supervises the Social Studies, Health & Physical Education, and Athletics Departments, and leads schoolwide initiatives focused on student achievement, school climate, safety, and positive culture. In his role, he supports instructional excellence through teacher evaluations and coaching, oversees Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), coordinates Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and helps lead crisis response and school safety initiatives. Prior to joining Caesar Rodney High School, Mr. Zulkowski served as Assistant Principal of Climate and Culture at Laurel High School and Dean of Student Achievement in the Capital School District, where he developed extensive experience in instructional leadership, student services, behavior support, and school operations.
Mr. Zulkowski brings nearly two decades of experience in public education, having served as a teacher, department chair, intervention coordinator, instructional leader, and administrator throughout Delaware. He holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education and is certified by the State of Delaware as both a Principal and Assistant Principal, with additional certifications in Physical Education, Health, Special Education, and Elementary Education. Beyond the classroom, he has dedicated more than 15 years to coaching student-athletes, serving in varsity football, wrestling, and lacrosse programs within the Smyrna School District. Throughout his career, he has been committed to developing leadership, accountability, resilience, and teamwork in students both academically and athletically.
